Patient Panel Group
This group is a valuable asset to the practice in facilitating two-way communication between our health-care professionals and our patients. As a result, the practice aims to improve the quality of decision-making in certain areas, as well as improve communication to our patients.
The Panel is a formal group, comprising not more than 12 registered patients and not more than 8 staff members. It meets four times a year, usually in the evening, with a pre-agreed agenda. Occasionally extraordinary meetings are called to discuss particular topics or initiatives, such as the recent Healthfair and these may be at lunchtime. Input and involvement is usually communicated via email or telephone. The term of office is three years with a maximum of six years.
The chairperson is Janet Waters, who was duly elected at the AGM in March 2013.
PPG Statement of Intent
We also have an Online Patient Participation Group, which we are trying to expand so that we can involve and communicate with more patients. If you are interested in joining either group please see further details on this website or to find out more, please contact the Practice Manager, Louise West.
