Coronavirus - latest guidelines
More information is available at gov.uk/coronavirus
PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY IN PERSON. YOU WILL ONLY BE SEEN BY ARRANGEMENT IF YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN SPOKEN TO BY A CLINICIAN.
If you have a health concern or symptoms that are not coronavirus-related please contact the surgery by calling 01491 843250 or online via our website or via email to email@example.com. All appointments are initially by telephone at the moment. The doctor or practice nurse will do all they can to help you over the phone. However, if they feel you need to be seen face-to-face, safe arrangements for this appointment will be made.
If you have COVID 19 coronavirus symptoms you need to self-isolate for 7 days. You can visit NHS online and use the 111 online coronavirus service to get support and advice. Only phone 111 if you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home or they are getting worse, or you do not have internet access. 111 will direct you to the most appropriate service.
The most important thing you can do to stay safe, protect your family and protect your NHS doctors and nurses is to follow Public Health advice to stay at home and keep your distance from other people. Further information can be found at https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus and https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Appointments are available on weekdays:
08:30am - 12pm and generally 2.30pm - 6pm.
Individual doctors do have varied times and we are happy to advise about specific times on request.
We also offer appointments:
- one or two evenings a week from 6:30pm - 7:30pm and/or one or two early mornings from 7.30am - 8.30am
- occasional Saturday mornings, usually from 8am to 10am
These appointments are being provided primarily to accommodate working people who are unable to take time off work to see their doctor or for patients who rely on someone to bring them to the surgery.
The rota for early mornings, evenings and weekends over the forthcoming weeks is:
- Extended Access appointments are suspended for the time being - we will publish dates and times as soon as we are able to plan for them again.
You will now be sent an SMS message reminding you of your appointment if you have provided us with your mobile number. A message is sent out at the time of booking and, if applicable, 48 hours prior to the appointment. If we do not already have it, you will be asked for your mobile number at the time of booking. Please let reception know if you wish to opt out.
Note: if your appointment is a telephone appointment you will not receive a message.
We have made this change in an effort to reduce the number of missed appointments and we hope it proves useful to our patients.
If you cannot attend your appointment please let us know as soon as you can as we may be able to offer it to another patient. Thank you.
